If conciousness is a universal phenomenom, then it's not difficult to see the connection between things going on in my brain and the things going on in the world.

If I may be so bold, my brain is a model of the earth and it's state and activity is a concious one that is reflected by my brain.

So if I am mixed up and worried about certain things, I am actually reflecting worries and mix ups in the world itself. If I can sort out my head and stop worrying about this and that, and to stop conflicts that are raging between cells, then maybe I can do the same for the conscious world in which I live.
