What good is society without gods?

Gods traditionally keep people in check and the unseen governs their behaviour. A godless society is one of science, and as such, people will act by the rules of their culture.

Unfortunately science is without morals and has nothing to offer in the way of doing the right thing to your fellow man. All it cares about is banishing the gods from the remaining mysteries in the universe.

In a world where physical processes may be explained away, people have only their mind that is still a mystery to them, and it seems that they feel it is something that they do not have any responsibility towards.

Science will explain it for them and invent a million conditions and behaviours that take away the responisibility of understanding yourself.
