At the age of 17 I was told that I was on a downward spiral by my year head at school, shortly afterward I was asked to leave.

I look back on the years that followed and I feel that while he was correct, the downward spiral took me to places I will probably never go again. It brought fresh life and new ideas to the surface and changed the way I look at life forever.

Every turn of the spiral allowed me to sink further into depresion, but flowing back at me was a wealth of life.
